Get ready for more real ethical weddings
Jul 6th, 2009 by Katie
It’s been a crazy busy couple of weeks and I’ve been neglecting our beloved blog shamefully – but I hope to put that right now!
On Friday I met with the lovely Kate of The Green Bride Guide who was over on our shores for… what else? A wedding.
It was great to hear how much enthusiasm there is for green weddings on the other side of the pond. Kate has gathered gorgeous green wedding stories galore so why not wallow in the wonderful pics… and pick up some tips in her real green wedding area?
And don’t forget to browse our own real ethical wedding stories – including our latest addition, ‘Eco-matrimony’ by Julia Belgrave, the tale of her trying-to-be-green wedding!
Our blogger brides, Sam and Henriette both celebrated their weddings recently and are getting ready to share their stories – so keep an eye out for those.
If you want to share your own real ethical wedding story, download a ‘Real Ethical Wedding Story’ form and email it back to us at info at ethicalweddings.com. The form just asks a few questions to help shape your story but feel free to ignore or expand on these as much as you like – it’s your story after all!
Take care,
Katie

Hi Katie –
Thanks for putting together such a fabulous resource for couples in the UK and for blogging about The Green Bride Guide. It was wonderful to meet you and I look forward to working together.
Kate
The green bride, that sounds like a great read, trying to encourage people to become greener and more eco friendly can be difficult, but judging from this book it would seem that many people are pretty clued up anyway. I am slowly learning more and more ways to become greener and more eco friendly, I have started to walk to work rather than drive, so am saving lots on petrol which I am happy with. I also found out about free ecards last week, I have sent some off to my friends who are getting married soon. There are some beautiful greeting cards around on the internet at the moment, there is lots of choice. The wedding is not that long off so I had better try and sort out my outfit.
Hi Katie, it’s truly great to see people becoming so conscious about being eco friendly in every small decision that they take in their lives. And they have not left out weddings too. Green weddings are a great new phenomenon for http://climatarians.org. Of course many would not have heard about it. Thanks to your blog, now many know.
Keep spreading the word!
