New bride for the new year
Jan 5th, 2008 by Katie
With the start of a new year we’re delighted to welcome a new bride-to-be to blog with us at Ethical Weddings.
Kate is the founder of Ethical Bags and she and her fiancé, Sam, are preparing for a June wedding in Cumbria.
Trying to go green for their wedding makes sense to Sam and Kate who are already trying to do the same in their day-to-day lives. Over to Kate…
“Since we met three years ago, Sam and I have tried to live our lives with as little impact on the environment as possible.
We switched to 100% green electricity when we bought our first house together last year, grow our own veg in our small garden and have recently set up a business selling re-usable shopping bags and other ethical bags.
When we started planning our wedding, making it as environmentally friendly and ethical as possible seemed like the right thing to do.”
Kate’s top tips for planning an ethical wedding include checking out ebay, plenty of compromise, and contemplating a different way of doing things… Intrigued? Check out her profile here and come back soon for her first post.
Happy weekend!
Katie
