Norwegian ethical weddings

After our post on ethical weddings in Europe
the other day, we were chuffed to receive an email from a Norwegian bride, happy to share her ethical wedding experience with us. Over to Torhild…
“I’m Norwegian and have been subscribing to your newsletter since spring. I got married August 11th, and it was a wonderful day!
Our contribution to making our love help somebody else was that all our guests and friends supported a project in Kenya instead of giving us presents.
Giving a child one year of education in boarding school in Maasai-land Kenya costs $120. In total we got $8683 which will give a few maasai girls 10 years of education in boarding school, and will hopefully give them and their communities a completely different and better future.
It feels very good to know that our love is benefiting and changing the lives of other people who really need it. We hope others can be inspired by this and maybe do something similar when they get married.”

Hooray for another August 11th wedding! And one that benefitted such a great cause is even better!
