Winter bridesmaid looks we love
Dec 29th, 2012 by Katie
I was a winter bridesmaid.

I had a gorgeous dress that I plan to wear again some day (when the baby weight has gone). But it wasn’t warm and the wedding was in December. In Yorkshire. While I’m a native of the county I’ve been in the south since I was 8 and I think my skin has lost the layer of toughness required to pull off the no sleeves past November look.
So after the ceremony I pulled on my cardi.
But can you be luscious in long(ish) sleeves? Here are a few of our favourite looks.

Orla Kiely Red Elm Dress from People Tree, £75
Neu Aura Vegan Elm Pointed Heeled Court Shoe from Fashion-Conscience.com, £98
Fair Trade Earrings - Painted Tutuma Gourd from RetailersRaum

Twigy Floral Print Dress from Fashion-Conscience.com, £49 (in sale)
Handspun Ethiopian Silk Cocoon Scarf in natural white from Creative Contrast, $219 (free worldwide shipping)
Sternlein Organic Opaque Tights in burgundy from Fashion-Conscience.com, £24
Mata Traders Fair Trade Osirirs Hoop Earrings from Fashion-Conscience, £14.03 (in sale)
Chinese Laundry New Love Patent Court Shoe from Fashion-Conscience, £47.20 (in sale)

Eliza Wrap Dress in antique gold from Nancy Dee, £78
Brass Leaf Earrings from People Tree, £10
Coco Orange ZigZag Print Vegan Shoe from Beyond Skin, £99 (in sale)

I couldn’t resist including these two glam but warm Nancy Dee dresses too – the Faye empire line dress in Chinese blue (£78) and the Vashty vintage-inspired dress in antique gold (£76).
Happy bridesmaid dress shopping! If you have winter bridesmaid dress looks you love – whether fair trade, upcycled, preloved or organic – please share them on the Ethical Weddings Facebook page.
